How to Avoid Surprises in Your Medical Bills
Cómo Evitar Sorpresas en sus Facturas Médicas
Have insurance? Start here.
If you have insurance, that is often the best place to get an estimate.** Your insurance carrier can determine out-of-pocket costs in advance of obtaining services, since it knows the specifics of your coverage, plan, deductibles, and co-pays.
Some insurers have online tools and estimators, while others will ask you to call and speak to a financial counselor.
No insurance? We can help.
If you do not have coverage, we can assist you in obtaining medical benefits through federal, state and hospital programs. These programs may help you with your current bill and will help you pay for health needs in the future.
We will also help you find out if you qualify for charity care. In some instances, we may be able to provide free or reduced price care if you qualify based on your income.
For EvergreenHealth Kirkland and Monroe patients:

Comparing Prices Among Healthcare Providers

Value = price + quality + safety + service
A higher price doesn't always mean better care. Your safety and clinical outcomes are both incredibly important factors in your care. At EvergreenHealth, we believe the highest quality and safety matched with an exceptional patient experience plus the best cost = the best value.
Independent third party sources are key to finding the best value. The data from these sources compares the quality of EvergreenHealth's outcomes against state and national averages, as well as against other local healthcare providers.

Wondering about costs for services?
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) requires hospitals to make public a list of standard charges via the internet.
We invite you to view the complete list of our charges in a machine-readable file format, but please understand this information alone will not provide an accurate estimate of the cost for your particular care because your insurance coverage (including individual payment responsibility, deductibles, etc.) and other information aren't reflected in the hospital's charge list.
Your costs may also change if your physician determines additional services are needed.

*Please note that these are only estimates and are subject to change without notice – this is true for any location you would have a procedure or surgery. The actual cost of your service may be higher or lower based on factors specific to your case, such as your length of stay in the hospital and the complexity of your medical condition. Return
**The information provided is an estimate and is not a guarantee of the final billing charges or their payment. Estimates are based on the information provided by you and your insurance company, if applicable, at the time of the estimate. The actual bill may vary from the estimate based on the patient's medical condition, unknown circumstances or complications, final diagnosis and recommended treatment ordered by the patient's physician. Patients with insurance should also contact their health benefits administrator for the most accurate information regarding covered benefits, deductible, and co-payment amounts. Professional fees such as physician, radiologist, anesthesiologist, and pathologist are not included in this estimate. Final claim adjudication and/or payment may differ. Return
