EvergreenHealth's Acute Rehabilitation Unit Among Best in Washington State by Newsweek
KIRKLAND, Wash. — EvergreenHealth's Acute Rehabilitation Unit has been named among Washington state's top six rehabilitation facilities by Newsweek for 2024. The full list includes 300 of the nation's best physical rehabilitation facilities.
Newsweek develops the annual list, now in its fifth edition, by assigning each facility a score based on an array of data, including quality metrics, accreditation data, a national survey of industry experts and patient Google reviews.
EvergreenHealth's Acute Rehabilitation Unit is a 14-bed comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation facility on the hospital system's Kirkland campus where patients are provided with highest quality of care in physical medicine and rehabilitation as they recover from significant injuries and medical events that impact their daily functioning including mobility, activities of daily living, cognition and communication.
The Acute Rehabilitation Unit's physicians and therapists specialize in neurological rehabilitation, partnering with EvergreenHealth's Neuroscience Programs to optimize functional recovery for patients who have experienced a stroke, brain injury or spinal cord injury.
"We are thrilled to be recognized for the high-quality inpatient rehabilitation therapy, nursing and medical care we provide for our patients. Our expert clinicians offer hands-on interdisciplinary treatment that significantly improves the lives of our patients as they recover from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputation, orthopedic and other medical conditions that cause a change in functioning," said EvergreenHealth's Acute Rehabilitation Unit Medical Director Alison Overland, MD. "Our outstanding support for patients seeking rehabilitation services is just one example of how we deliver high-quality, safe and compassionate care to everyone in our community. Each team member strives every day to make a positive impact on the health and wellness of those we serve."
