Snohomish County Public Hospital District #1 Board Selects Dianne Forth as Newest Commissioner

She has been selected to serve Position #3 through the end of 2023

MONROE, Wash. – The Snohomish County Public Hospital District #1 (SCPHD #1) Board of Commissioners recently appointed Dianne Forth to fill a vacant position on the board, serving in Position #3. Forth joins the board effective Sept. 21 through Dec. 31, 2023.

Forth has held a role on the EvergreenHealth Monroe Foundation's Board of Trustees since 2012, remaining an active volunteer for the foundation during that time as well as a volunteer community advisor for EvergreenHealth Monroe.

"Dianne has a diverse professional background, a deep understanding of the current health care landscape across the region and years of volunteer experience that make her perfect to serve on the Board of Commissioners," said SCPHD #1 Board Chair Karen Gahm. "I look forward to working with her alongside our fellow commissioners as we continue to ensure EvergreenHealth Monroe serves our community and meets our residents' needs."

Forth holds a deep passion for community service and leadership, previously serving as Chair for the EvergreenHealth Monroe Foundation's Blue Jeans and Boots Gala as well as the current President Elect of the Rotary Club of Monroe. She's also a member of the Monroe Public School Foundation as well as the Downtown Monroe Association, for which she served as Board President from 2015 to 2019. Previously, she held the position of School Director at the Gene Juarez Academy of Beauty and co-founded the YPC- Your Personal Concierge business.

Outside of her community involvement, Forth has a strong passion for writing short stories and is currently working on a novel.

"I am very excited to join the SCPHD#1 Board of Commissioners. I feel a strong connection to the community and my fellow community members, and I can't wait to help support and improve the health and wellness of our district through our community-owned hospital," Forth said.

Forth joins four other board members – Karen Gahm, board chair; Alice Cabe, board secretary; Chuck Strub, MD, Steve Matuschak. The elected Board of Commissioners governs EvergreenHealth Monroe, providing oversight and counsel, ensuring the public hospital district fulfills its mission and values and provides high-quality care for everyone in the community. Forth's appointment completes the five-member Board of Commissioners.
