EvergreenHealth Welcomes Nine New Primary Care Providers
Kirkland, Wash. – In its ongoing effort to meet the community's growing needs, EvergreenHealth recently welcomed several new skilled physicians and health care providers from across the country. Among the recent additions are nine primary care providers across four EvergreenHealth locations: Funke Adefope Wishko, MD, at EvergreenHealth Signature Care, Kirkland; Alexandra Plyasova, MD, and Karen Kim, MD, at EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Woodinville; Sarinda Kongkachen, MD, Rachael Murphy, DO, and James "Michael" Hoke, ARNP, FNP-C, at EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Canyon Park; Aiyana Turpen-Scott, PA-C, and Laura Paulsen, ARNP, at EvergreenHealth Primary Care Bothell; and Jimena Gomez Del Carpio, MD, at EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Monroe.

Funke Adefope Wishko, MD, at EvergreenHealth Signature Care is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides comprehensive, personalized and compassionate care. Her goal is to invest in her patients so they can work together on making the best care decisions. Born in Nigeria and raised in London, Dr. Wishko's diverse background allows her to connect with all patients and serves to foster trust. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest and spending time with her husband and their new baby.
Alexandra Plyasova, MD, at EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Woodinville, is board-certified in internal medicine and sees patients 18 and older for general wellness and preventive care. She also provides specialized care for conditions like asthma and heart disease. Dr. Plyasova's goal is to learn her patients' values so she can offer them individualized care that is best suited for their lifestyle and needs. One of her favorite tips for a healthy lifestyle is to walk every day.
Karen Kim, MD, at EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Woodinville, is a board-certified internal medicine physician offering care for both acute and chronic conditions, as well as general care. She chose her field of practice because she loves the variety of medical problems she can treat and enjoys getting to know her patients on a personal level to help them. When not caring for her patients, Dr. Kim loves spending time with her family and dog, traveling, hiking, and watching basketball.
Sarina Kongkachen, MD, at EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Canyon Park, is a board-certified family medicine physician who enjoys the opportunity to treat a wide variety of people and establish long-lasting relationships with patients and their families. Born and raised in Thailand, Dr. Kongkachen moved to Seattle with her husband and son in 2017. She loves to cook, hike, travel, swim, and do yoga and Pilates.
Rachael Murphy, MD, at EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Canyon Park, is board-eligible in family medicine and utilizes a holistic approach that encourages patients to combine traditional medicine and healthy lifestyle choices. She has a special interest in women's health, addiction medicine and addressing socioeconomic disparities in health care. Dr. Murphy's goal is to meet patients where they are and to support them in claiming autonomy over their health care decisions. She finds joy in being out on the water, up on the slopes or out on the trails.
James "Michael" Hoke, ARNP, FNP-C, at EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Canyon Park, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who sees patients of all ages for both chronic and acute conditions. Michael's mission is to work with patients to determine goals, provide education, treat symptoms and enhance quality of life. Originally from Illinois, Michael loves exploring the Pacific Northwest with his partner and their puppy, including hiking and kayaking, exploring museums, and following college sports.
Aiyana Turpen-Scott, PA-C, at EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Bothell, is a certified physician assistant with a focus on reproductive health. She provides comprehensive management of chronic health conditions such as asthma, type 2 diabetes, and depression and anxiety, as well as acute conditions such as urinary tract infections. Her goal is to empower patients through partnership to increase their quality of life. When not taking care of her patients, Aiyana enjoys exploring local hiking spots, trying new restaurants, and taking day trips with her family and friends.
Laura Paulsen, ARNP, at EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Bothell, provides care that emphasizes prevention, education and whole-person health. She has a special interest in women's health and behavioral health, and also enjoys working with geriatric patients. Laura's goal is to develop lasting relationships with her patients, listen to their concerns and treat each patient she would want her family to be treated. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, antiquing, drinking great coffee and spending time with family.
Jimena Gomez Del Carpio, MD, at EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Monroe, is a board-certified family medicine physician who sees patients from infancy through the geriatric years. She chose a career in medicine because she believes everyone deserves to be healthy and live a happy life. Originally from Bolivia, Dr. Gomez lived in multiple countries before settling in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and two children. They love exploring the outdoors as a family and have been spending time getting to know their new home.
