Parent-Baby Groups
Since 1991, EvergreenHealth's popular Parent-Baby Groups have been providing education and support for new families who are welcoming their baby. Discussions include feeding, relationships, postpartum adjustment, developmental stages, sleep and more.
Join us to share parenting successes and challenges—and to get practical, hands-on information to make the journey a little easier. Taught by lactation and early parenting educators.

Each session includes a specific topic and time for discussion and questions about anything and everything baby.
Snugglers (0 - 3 months)
Wednesdays - 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Gigglers (3 - 6 months)
Wednesdays - 10 - 11:30 a.m.
Movers (6 - 9 months)
Thursdays - 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Explorers (9 - 12 months)

Shakers (12 - 15 months)

Audience: Parents with babies 0 – 15 months old. Available to all new families, regardless of where you gave birth.

Parent Baby – Toddler Talk
[Virtual class] Join us virtually to share about the joys and challenges of parenting a toddler. Designed for parents of toddlers from 15 months through 3 years old, this Parent Baby education and support group format will include discussions on: development, discipline, feeding, sleep, potty readiness, tantrums and more.

This Is Not What I Expected
[Virtual class] This nurturing support group is for families who are feeling overwhelmed and/or struggling with the transition to parenthood. It is led by educators trained to support parents through these challenges. Leaders are skilled at directing parents to community resources to help cope with postpartum adjustment and mood disorders.
You may want to consider joining this group if you feel anxious, isolated, sad, depressed, irritable, are having difficulty sleeping and want to learn more about postpartum mood disorders.
The group meets virtually the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, from 7-9 p.m. Fee: free. For more information, email Community Health Education or call (425) 544-0050 M-F 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Audience: Parents with babies from birth through age 2

Starting Solids
[Virtual class] You'll get practical information that is based on up-to-date American Academy of Pediatrics practices on the healthy feeding of solid foods for babies and toddlers.
This class is recommended for parents of infants 4-12 months old.

Breastfeeding Your Older Baby
[Virtual class] This class provides support and education for moms who are continuing to breastfeed beyond the first six months. There's lively discussion about the cumulative health benefits of continued breastfeeding for both mom and baby, cultural pressures, developmental challenges, weaning and more. Included is best practice information as suggested by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the World Health Organization. Non-mobile babies only.
The class is facilitated by a certified lactation educator.

Screen Savvy Parenting
[Virtual class] This class will cover information on screen technologies' interactions with children's growth and development and the implications for how we parent. We will cover topics relevant to children ages birth to five, including best practice recommendations and solutions for common challenges.
You'll also leave with a template for creating a Family Vitality Plan reflecting your values, that can guide future screen media decisions.
For parents of children birth to five years old; ideal for both parents to attend.

Body Safety for Kids: What Parents Need to Know
[In-person] This dynamic class will focus on how parents talk to children about their bodies, sex, love and relationships as well as critical safety and consent education. Content includes: the importance of teaching correct anatomical names for body parts, how to empower children with safe physical and personal and relational boundaries. We will also cover the risks and benefits of cell phones and appropriate internet use, as part of broader prevention education. Taught by Christy Keating, J.D, PCI Certified Parent Coach® and Founder of The Heartful Parent Collective.
Audience: Parents with children from toddler age through 5th grade.
