I love to spend time with my family. I'm discovering the world through my son's eyes and enjoy teaching him the important value of the world. My husband is my greatest support.
I like to garden, grow orchids, spend time with my cats and cook different ethnic foods.

I volunteer for my son's Chinese school class and help kids learn basic Chinese.

I understand that everyone has a busy schedule, but there was no bedside manner. I felt like I was unable to fully be able to ask the DR questions especially since I was nervous, full of questions , was getting my ears flushed (which hurt) and then didn't slow down to make sure I knew what to do after the appointment.

Would like to know what doctor is going to do before she does it. For example, upon examining a cyst she started to squeeze it firmly to try to extract liquid. I want to know before so I know to expect pain. I expect part of examination includes touching with gloved hands, but I did not expect the pinching.

The provider got very close to my personal space when we were having a discussion not during the actual examination. Obviously as a doctor she gets close range with people and that's normal. I could've asked for space and I'm sure she would've given it to me, but being with her, I didn't even have the courage to ask. She was trying to understand by asking questions what my pain was sourced from. I know my body and I knew I had an infection. It was in the early stages and so I was not showing symptoms of acute UTI. The culture showed I had a UTI and I'm so grateful that the doctor gave me a prescription for an antibiotic, she gave me the benefit of that doubt, and I could start treatment as soon as I wanted. I feel a little intimidated but ultimately grateful I got good and correct treatment.

In all fairness to Dr Liu sometimes there is a sometimes a personality conflict.. I never doubted her knowledge; but didn't feel comfortable with her "bedside manner."

I was there for a routine exam needed to refill my estrogen & progesterone prescriptions. Dr. Liu undertood that not having these medications renders me nonfunctional. Yet, the degree of her warnings that I am putting myself at an increased risk of stroke, heart attack and cancer as a result of taking these medications for a sustained period was such that I walked out feeling like a ticking time bomb with no alternatives. She did refer me to an ObGyn for a more detailed discussion. She should have tempered her dire and unconstructive opinion with other helpful suggestions & acknowledgement that this is a common condition with good remedies that exist. I walked out newly concerned about high risk of death with no alternatives. A horrible feeling.

She took a call during our visit. She did not sanitize her hands or equipment, she complained about her call to me. She made me take off my mask and was unclear about what she was going to examine, so I ended up breathing in hospital air without my mask on. She was not ready and did not have swabs to run tests on me. She was dismissive of my issues.

The doctor made me feel like I had a weight problem like an eating disorder. I am autistic and have ADHD and take meds. I feel like she should have considered that more than just telling me I need to gain 30 pounds.

Dr. Liu is amazing. She understands my disability and treats me with respect. Some Medical Professionals dumb me down. This Doctor does not. She sees through my disability and sees the intelligent person I am.

My daughter is an adult with autism and developmental delay. Dr Liu is fabulous with her. Respectful, patient, warm, unflappable and supportive. Helpful with our administrative issues and of course professional and thorough in her medical care. We are very grateful we found her when we moved here!
