She also practices the full scope of gynecology including management of contraception, infertility, menstrual and menopausal issues. She performs both major and minimally invasive surgeries, including many office-based procedures with the exception of complex urogynecologic (incontinence) problems.

Philosophy of Care

I feel that my primary roles are to help guide you through your options for management of a concern or problem and to understand your choices so you can decide for yourself what is best for you.
For obstetrical patients, I provide the information needed to have a safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery utilizing your preferences whenever possible. Many issues can arise in a pregnancy, but I do not treat it as an illness! Helping you achieve their healthiest best is what I strive for.

Personal Information

My husband and I have known each other since high school, and have been married since starting medical school. We have three children who have been very involved in school and club sports through the years (keeping us involved in them as well!) including wrestling, football, soccer, gymnastics and skiing.
We enjoy hiking, boating, camping and backpacking with our extended and immediate family and enjoy all that Washington has to offer in that regard.
I also enjoy photography, gardening, cooking and scrapbooking when time allows. I grew up with horses, but have not had the time to take that interest back up since college.

Community Involvement

I volunteer in my children's schools and with their sports booster clubs and have taken on the "photographer" role for many of their sports.
I also volunteer several times a year with the Nick of Time Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization that screens young athletes in their schools for risk of sudden cardiac death.
When possible, my kids and I have participated in fund raising walks for juvenile diabetes and breast cancer.
