Ninan did not discuss any postpartum care with me even though it was a postpartum/ 6- weeks appt. She only asked if I need contraceptives and I declined.

She never asked me anything. No discussion about anything regarding to my health or why I was there. I only come in once a year, same reason. I will see somebody else if I have real health concerns.

Provider is courteous. Orders appropriate tests. Appointments are quick. Never any after visit summary. I'm confident she will make adequate medical decisions and provide necessary care.

I did not feel heard and did not leave with a course of action. We're trying to get pregnant and my questions/comments were met with a feeling of: people try for a year, that's normal - come back when it's been a year. When I pushed for more advice it was met with "you're doing what you should be doing". Only after pushing multiple times did we get a referral for semen analysis and hormone bloodwork. I felt like she thought I shouldn't even be there. Probably the loneliest I've ever felt from a healthcare professional.

Dr Ninan seems to not be very proactive on disclosing information or let us look ahead on what needs to be done throughout our pregnant journey with her. We had to find a lot of answers ourselves online, through classes or accidentally discover something we need to pay attention from other staff in Evergreen. E.g, we didn't know the pros/cons of induction despite we were scheduled an induction. Dr Ninan is nice, kind and laid back but we didn't feel we received adequate amount of expertise advices to prepare my wife better throughout her pregnancy. We were asked whether we want a foley ballon but never told the benefit and risks of having it. We were offered the choice during induction day and we have to make that choice right there and then.
