Philosophy of Care

I believe in a patient-centered approach to orthopedic care. When a patient comes in with pain, dysfunction or a new injury, it can be a scary or frustrating time. I feel that Dr S always has my good in mind. He's an excellent trauma surgeon with fantastic bedside manner. From the time I was dropped off at the ER, to my long surgery the next day, to the days spent in the hospital, and now to follow-up visits in the office, he has been nothing but professional and personable. I am thankful that he was on call on the evening of my fall. And I look forward to checking in a couple more times with him until I am 100% back to normal!

I had a great experience with Dr. Sangeorzan - he explained all my options thoroughly and objectively which made me feel good about choosing to have surgery but I felt well informed including data on outcomes of surgical vs. Nonsurgical and I didn't feel like I was being swayed in either direction. Great bedside manner!

Dr Sangeorzan did a wonderful job greeting me, explaining the x-rays, treating me, and explaining follow up. The only issue I had was the visit summary did not match up to what he said to me in person. I didn't take notes in the meeting thinking the visit summary would outline our exact conversation. It did not so I had no written guideline for reference.

Dr. Sangeorzan is really one of the most thorough, highly skilled, concerned, warm and friendly physicians I've ever seen. His work on my foot was excellent, he listened carefully to every question and issue I had, and responded with honest and thorough answers. He was very organized and I never felt rushed In our appointments. I've referred him to two of my friends.

I tore my Achilles skiing. My surgeon Adam was amazing. I had never had any sort of surgery in my life before this and he validated all of my concerns. Helped me make my own decision about my health and course of action to get it fixed and recovered. He put all of my concerns at ease and kept me informed all along the way. 6 months later I have more or less returned to everything I was doing before physically. I still have more progress to make but his successful surgery and accompanying PT with Travis in Monroe has gotten me through a very low point in my life and made me confident in continuing to be athletic for the rest of my life. I can't thank you enough.
