Dr. Leticia Huynh provides a full range of family medicine services including office procedures, prenatal care, pediatric care and geriatric care. She is interested in preventive medicine, women's health and the comprehensive primary care of complex chronic illnesses including diabetes, heart failure, coronary artery disease and stroke. She is licensed to prescribe buprenorphine (Suboxone) and her practice includes the insertion, removal and surveillance of intrauterine devices and subdermal contraceptive implants.

Philosophy of Care

As a family medicine doctor, it is my honor and privilege to provide care and promote wellness throughout all stages of life from childhood to old age. I seek to build long-term patient-physician relationships and strive to get to know my patients and their families personally. I believe in respectful and compassionate medical care characterized by shared decision making which reflects my patients' goals and values.
I am also an ally to our LGBTQ+ community and provide a safe space for all of my patients to discuss their unique health care needs.

I was born and raised in Seattle and I enjoy living the Pacific Northwest because I am close to family! I practice medicine because I love getting to know my patients and collaborating with them to improve their health. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two cats, reading science fiction and fantasy, traveling and exploring the outdoors.

This is my first appointment with Dr. Huynh. She was recommended to my husband by his doctor, Dr. Chia. Dr. Huynh was very attentive. Which I totally appreciate. She was very patience with all my questions and really listened to my concerns. She proposed many treatment options, which I absolutely appreciate.

Felt like a nuisance to provider. She seemed to be in a great hurry and was not interested in what I had to say. Did not feel like she particularly cared about me or my health.

This appointment was disappointing, difficult and did not inspire confidence in this provider who doesn't listen and is superficial in her care. I came in for a cold sore in my nose to see about getting the acyclovir and for a breast exam. She told me I needed an annual exam. I repeated why I was there and she had me sign an annual exam form for which I would have prepared differently had I known ie had questions. She looked and interacted with the computer Screen and not me in the appointment. She read the list of my medical issues, missing the first one: CLL. She asked at the end of reading her list if there was anything else and I said I had CLL so she scrolled back to the top snd essentially said "oh, It's just CLL." She didn't ask about any of these issues-just asked if I had any questions. I did ask one about the new pneumonia vaccine and it was clear that questions were not really appreciated. She was the expert. On exam, she said yes I had a cold sore but put the probe from the infected nose to the uninflected one snd thud possibly moving the cold sore to the left nostril in which I have never had a cold sore. The breast underarm exam, she declared fine and told me to get a mammogram. As I have CLL I know I have a number of swollen lymph nodes under my arms. She felt none of those. This provider and appointment was the worst, most negative and most unsettling I have had. I think some basic understanding that I am a real human being coming to her for professional expertise and empathy would go a long way in solving some of these problems.

This was an annual exam. A mammogram was recommended, and I was informed it was much more accurate than a breast exam at detecting anomalies, so I opted to just take the mammogram. HOWEVER, had I known the wait for a mammogram was 5-months out I would have asked to also have the office breast exam. The Dr should have been aware of and informed me of the long wait period so that I could make a better decision.

I was surprised at how curt the provider was. I knew it was a short appointment but I did not feel like I could bring things up or that the doctor actual cared about my health. Poor bedside manner in my humble opinion.

My doctor listened carefully to my concerns and very caring. She Is so knowledgeable and always explained the details and her diagnosis to me. She is very organized and always follow up quickly on everything we decided during the visit.

I love my doctor! The first time I saw her, she was the first one to really listen and try to solve problems that I had been having for >5 years that ended up with me getting a diagnosis, so that meant a lot to me. This visit, I felt like she helped me get the care I wanted/needed without pushing anything unnecessary, and she helped me get the best care in the way that made me feel most comfortable. She provided all the options and helped me understand them so I could pick the best one for me. Beforehand, I was worried about feeling judged about some of the things I wanted care for, but I didn't feel that at all from her, and that helped me get everything I needed during the appointment and feel very safe doing it.

As a patient, I would have liked to have the staff and provider slow down their speech and took the time for patient to process information and express thoughts. Felt rushed. Didn't feel much personal connection.
