Personal Information

I worked in health care quality improvement for 13 years prior to making the decision to go to medical school and it was that experience, particularly working with primary care offices, that reinforced my desire to help patients on the front lines.
While I grew up outside of Chicago, my husband and I have lived in the Northwest for almost 20 years. We have two children who keep us busy every day! In our free time, we love to try different restaurants, read, hike, and travel. I am also an exercise junkie and love to try out new workouts.

Dr. Helan Lee-Garrard is a very kind & informed person. She went over healthcare for my age & what future care (such as hearing aids) that another Dr discussed with me . Also , she was frank about things that I was concerned about. This was my 2nd yearly check up since my previous provider left her practice. I'm very happy to have my current Dr.

Saw provider about male pattern hair loss. Hair loss is a common ailment with well-documented biochemistry. Asked provider about a pharmaceutical solution / prescription medication. Provider insisted hair loss was due to recent weight loss, and suggested lifestyle changes (diet/exercise). I'm a relatively young, fit person, and I take great care to eat a very healthy diet.
