The program is built to foster nursing and communication skills, and grow a reflective and professional practice. It is important to establish a safe community for a new nurse: a place to debrief and be with peers who are on the same journey and timeline as you. Our RN residency program helps residents navigate challenges, develop resiliency, and cultivate confidence. We respect and value our residents as well as invest in their training because we want them to thrive during this transition to practice.

Why the EvergreenHealth Nurse Residency Program is Right for YOU

April Melchiode, RN

"EvergreenHealth wants to invest in new nurses, they want to train you and they know how important it is to invest in you from the very beginning."

Sara Baron, RN

"Not only do you refresh certain physical skills but you gain lifelong friends. Over the course of a year, you become close with the other residents on different floors. The program is so good at targeting different difficult situations in nursing such as end-of-life and legal, ethical skills. The program really puts emphasis on protecting our mental health at work because it's so important."
