Nurse Tech Program
As a nursing student, you are gaining important knowledge and nursing skills. We want to support your growth and help you jump start a career here at EvergreenHealth.
Through our Nurse Tech Program, you will expand your critical thinking by providing direct and indirect patient care, giving you an important and impactful advantage on your path toward a nursing career.
The Nurse Tech Program is designed to provide expanded work-related opportunities for students enrolled in an ADN or BSN program within the limits of their education. As a Nurse Technician, you will work under direct supervision of a registered nurse. Following the guidelines established by Washington state, Nurse Techs can participate in many activities of patient care, which can include:
- Patient assessment
- Patient education
- Medication administration
- Assisting with activities of daily living
- Wound care
- Patient companionship
Why Choose EvergreenHealth's Nurse Tech Program?
"The program gives you the opportunity to gain experience that you may not receive during nursing school," says Professional Development Specialist, Jamie Young, MSN, ARNP. "In addition to your patient care experiences, you will receive support from our educators."
