(Awarded by The Leapfrog Group) EvergreenHealth has received its twelfth consecutive "A" rating for hospital safety, based on how well we keep patients safe from errors, accidents and infections. Hospitals that earn an 'A' grade make it a priority to protect patients from preventable medical harm and error. Read more

(Awarded by CMS Hospital Compare) EvergreenHealth is one of just seven hospitals in the Puget Sound region–and one of just 381 hospitals nationwide–to earn a 2024 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) based on our high scores for patient safety and outcomes. Center of Excellence - Total Joint Program (2023) & Orthopedic Surgery (2024)
(Awarded by DNV) EvergreenHealth's Total Joint Program (2023) and Orthopedic Surgery Program (2024) have been recognized as Centers of Excellence by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The Orthopedic Surgery Program is the only program in the Pacific Northwest region to receive this distinction, and the Total Joint Program was the first in Washington state to receive this designation. (Awarded by DNV Healthcare) EvergreenHealth Stroke Care has earned the Comprehensive Stroke Center certification from DNV Healthcare, recognizing that EvergreenHealth meets the highest national standards for stroke care. Read more
Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative
EvergreenHealth was the first hospital in the United States to be recognized as a Baby-Friendly Hospital, and the designation has been reviewed and renewed every five years since 1996. This is the gold standard of maternity care, awarded by UNICEF and the World Health Organization. Read more

(Awarded by Practice Greenhealth) EvergreenHealth is recognized for its outstanding achievements in environmental practices to supercharge operational efficiency, increase regulatory compliance and improve the health of their communities.
