Jenny Churas, JD

General Counsel

Jenny Churas oversees all legal representation for EvergreenHealth and King County Public Hospital District No. 2, bringing extensive expertise and dedication to ensuring the organization's legal needs are met.

Jenny joined EvergreenHealth in August 2022 as Legal Counsel and quickly advanced, serving as interim and then permanent Senior Counsel by December 2022. Previously, Jenny was a director and shareholder with Bennett Bigelow & Leedom, a Seattle law firm specializing in healthcare. Her accomplishments since joining EvergreenHealth include improving departmental workflows and reducing legal costs in collaboration with leadership.

A recognized leader in her field, Jenny is an active member of the Washington State Hospital Association, Washington Health Care Risk Management Society, Washington Women Lawyers, and the American Bar Association. Her expertise has been acknowledged by her peers, with Jenny being named a Washington State Super Lawyer in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Jenny holds a BS in Sociology and Behavioral Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a JD with honors from Seattle University School of Law, where she contributed to the Law Review. She also lettered in women's crew during her college years. In her free time, Jenny enjoys outdoor activities with her family.
