Ettore Palazzo, MD, FACP

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Ettore Palazzo became the CEO of EvergreenHealth in December 2023; and is responsible for the leadership of all aspects of EvergreenHealth's purpose, mission and vision. Dr. Palazzo joined EvergreenHealth in 2003, initially as a hospitalist, in which he held various roles, including managing physician of the Internal Medicine hospitalist service and IT medical director of inpatient services.

In 2014, he was appointed the Quality Medical Director, contributing to quality initiatives resulting in achievable, sustainable strategies that have led to EvergreenHealth's recognition by multiple organizations – including Healthgrades, Leapfrog, the Lown Institute and CMS – for patient safety and exceptional outcomes.

In 2019, Dr. Palazzo became Chief Medical and Quality Officer overseeing risk management, pharmacy services, quality/safety, infection control, regulatory, patient relations, hospitalist/intensivist services and medical staff services.

Actively engaged in the Pacific Northwest community, Dr. Palazzo has served on the Eastside Health Network Quality Committee, Eastside Health Alliance Coordinated Quality Council, and the Washington State Hospital Association (WSHA) Safety and Quality Committee. In 2023, he was appointed chair of the WSHA Safety and Quality Committee and serves on the WSHA Board.

Dr. Palazzo is committed to physician development, volunteering his time to teach and provide lectures for University of Washington medical students during their Internal Medicine rotations at EvergreenHealth. He also serves on the University of Washington School of Medicine Alumni Leadership Council.
