Lown Institute Hospitals Index Ranking

The Lown Institute Hospitals Index, which examines and ranks hospitals' performance based on outcomes, value and equity, has ranked EvergreenHealth number one in the nation for Clinical Outcomes for 2022.

The Lown Institute measures Clinical Outcomes by looking at how each hospital performs in areas of patient safety and patient satisfaction. Specifically, it looks at mortality rates across various timeframes and readmission rates. The institute found that EvergreenHealth is the best overall hospital in these categories compared to 3,606 hospitals nationwide.

The Lown Institute, which is a nonprofit and nonpartisan group, says the Hospitals Index strives to take into account "the full breadth of what hospitals do as care providers, employers and community partners."
